Firm Profile

Firm Profile

Laney, Boteler & Killinger was formed in 1990.  The founding partners of Laney Boteler & Killinger, each with a large regional firm background, blended their unique talents and expertise together to create a firm that, from inception, has experienced exceptional growth over the years by delivering consistent client satisfaction.  Our largest clients have revenues in excess of $50 million, and our smallest clients have revenues of under $5 million. Each is equally important and receives prompt and professional service from our experienced accountants.  Through hard work, our seasoned professionals have earned the respect of the business and financial communities. This respect illustrates our diverse talents, dedication and ability to respond quickly.

We believe our client satisfaction is achieved by adhering to three underlying principles:  quality, professionalism and responsiveness.

Quality

An accounting firm is known for the quality of its service. Our firm's reputation reflects the high standards we demand of ourselves.

Our primary goal as a trusted advisor is to be available to provide insightful advice to enable our clients to make informed financial decisions. We do not accept anything less from ourselves and this is what we deliver to you.

Our firm is a member of the Private Companies Practice Section (PCPS) of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. As a condition of membership in PCPS, our firm voluntarily participates in a demanding quality control program, which includes a Peer Review of our accounting and auditing practice every three years. A Peer Review, conducted by other CPA firms trained in the process of evaluating all areas of a firm’s operations by the AICPA, ensures compliance with the standards of the profession, and that a firm operates independently and without conflicts of interest. It verifies the existence of quality hiring practices and properly trained staff. Finally, a Peer Review verifies the firm's commitment to continuing professional education. Our firm continues to be recognized for its quality control policies and procedures by receiving the highest achievable Peer Review rating.

Our firm is also a member of both the Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center and the Governmental Audit Quality Centers.  The Centers, both sponsored by the American Institute of CPA’s, is designed to help CPAs better meet the challenges of performing quality ERISA employee retirement plan and governmental audits and its primary purposes are to promote the importance of quality ERISA employee retirement plan and governmental audits and the value of such audits to purchasers of ERISA employee retirement plan and governmental audit services.

We are committed to providing close, personal attention to our clients. We take pride in giving you the assurance that the personal assistance you receive comes from years of advanced training, technical experience and financial acumen.

Professionalism

Our firm is committed to professionalism in the delivery of all of our services. Through a combination of close partner interaction, expertise in our practices and the energy of our staff, we believe that each client receives close personal and professional attention.

Our high standards, service and specialized staff spell the difference between our outstanding performance, and other firms. We make sure that every client is served by the expertise of our whole firm.

Responsiveness

Our firm is responsive. Companies who choose our firm rely on competent advice and fast, accurate personnel. We provide a wide range of financial services to individuals, large and small businesses and other agencies.
